Hello and welcome

MerryGoRound is a community project that was started in January 2020 by a mum living in Islington. We aim to provide practical help to families experiencing hardship by providing free bundles of pre-loved children’s clothes, shoes and books, generously donated by local families.

HAPPY 5TH ANNIVERSARY TO US!

Since we launched in May 2020 we’ve provided over 1,600 clothing bundles to local families in need.

To help us continue to provide these essential items we are launching our 5th Anniversary Crowdfunder Campaign.

Read more about our 5th anniversary here.

Get involved

Raising kids in a busy, expensive city like London can be a challenge. Throw financial worries into the mix and it can be overwhelming. When parents hit a rough patch in life - through ill health, job loss or delayed benefit payments - or when times are really tough and families are escaping violence or persecution, the kindness of strangers can make a huge difference. Here’s how you can help…

Stuff to share

Clear some space in your child’s wardrobe and make another child smile by donating pre-loved clothes, shoes and books for newborn to age 11

Spare some time

We’re a community project run solely by a small team of volunteers. We could use a hand to prepare bundles or deliver them to referrers so click the link to find out more

Shop our wishlist

There are some items we’d like to buy new - such as underwear - and that are constantly in demand (like jackets and joggers for older boys). Click here to see our current wishlist

December 2020

Beautifully organised and full of lovely clothes & books for our families.

So special – and so needed. The faces of the parents and children said it all.
